Open Science aims to make science more open and transparent. This includes established practices such as open access, open source and open data, as well as intensifying collaboration with citizens in research (citizen science). Innovative approaches to increasing transparency and openness are becoming increasingly important not only in science, but fundamentally in business and society.
In cooperation with our partner CAS Software AG we are offering a doctoral student position in the field of open science with a specific focus on leveraging user-centered and participatory development processes for designing and piloting an open science platform (https://openscience.kd2lab.kit.edu/). The position is offered as part of the KIT excellence initiative funded Future Field III project “Decision-Making in Hybrid Adaptive Systems for Better Work and Life – An Open Science Approach” (https://hybrid-adaptive-systems.org/). Further information on the position is available here.
